Zach LaVine parents are Paul LaVine and CJ LaVine. Zach grew up with three sisters in Renton city of Washington.

The basketball star has shared a handful of pictures with his mom and dad on his Instagram account. He came from an athletic household since both of them were elite players in the past.

Paul is a retired American football player who has played in NFL and the United States Football League (USFL). Meanwhile, CJ played softball during her college days.

Their son now plays for the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2014 NBA draft and has also played for the Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets.

LaVine had an incredible game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday, January 23, with five rebounds and four assists. The 27-year-old is all set to play the Monday night game against Atlanta Hawks in the NBA.

Zach LaVine Father Paul Played In NFL

Zach LaVine dad Paul LaVine is a former American football linebacker. Paul played for the Seattle Seahawks in NFL.

Before getting drafted into the National Football League, he was a Right Outside LB at the USFL club Portland Breakers for two seasons. He joined the team in 1985 and played till 1987.

The following season Seahawks approached Paul to play in the league. At the Seattle-based club, he switched sides and played on the left for one season. Zach's old man was in action for three games throughout the season.

Paul was born on 1st May 1962 in San Bernardino, CA, and completed his education at Bakersfield Highland High School. The 6-2 feet tall athlete joined San Bernardino Valley College football team in 1981 at 19.

After honing his skill for two years at the college, Paul got a letter from Utah State in 1983. Then in 1985, the Portland Breakers came into the picture as they selected him in the 12th round in the 1985 USFL Draft.

Following his retirement from his football career, Paul ventured into softball. Zach remembers him practicing with his uncle in the backyard. He gave his papa credit for making him the strong and distinctive player he is today.

The NBA star was only five when he developed an interest in basketball after watching the 1996 animated comedy Space Jam. Paul sculpted his sons' dream of playing in the NBA as he would spend hours in their home's garden playing with him in his formative years.

His dad embraced the role of a coach and a trainer. Every day the two would train and practice new skills such as ball handling, agility strengthening, touch shots, and more.

Paul showed him how to handle both the positive and negative aspects of game scenarios. Whenever Zach needs advice, he always seeks help from his old man.

Furthermore, Paul gave him the mental fortitude to stand up to a hard-nosed, demanding coach. Despite being a little hard on him, Zach now realizes his father's actions were correct and essential.

LaVine Mother Cheryl Johnson Was A Softball Player

LaVine mom Cheryl Johnson played softball during her high school days. She grew up with her two athletic brothers.

It was difficult for her as she had to pursue a career in sports competing with her two siblings. But her talents and skill came in handy as she rose through the ranks in Seattle to be a collegiate athlete.

Cheryl prefers a quiet life, which is why she has not been on social media platforms. However, Zach has posted a few clicks of her and her husband on his socials.

On both Mother's Day and CJ's birthday, the NBA star never misses sending her greetings.

In May 2021, Zach uploaded an old picture of him with his mum on Instagram. He was probably in his 10s, and Cheryl also looked pretty young in that picture. Moreover, LaVine posed with his mom and dad in front of 68 Pontiac LeMans, which they gifted him in July 2019.

Zach Lavine Siblings Growing Up

Zach LaVine sister Camryn Lavine is an internet hotcake with over 55K followers on Instagram. He has further two siblings.

He is the only son of Paul and Cheryl LaVine. Besides Camryn, the Chicago Bulls shooting guard has two more sisters, Linda Carter and Chandi Leishman. They both are older than him and married.

Also, LaVine shares a close brother-like bond with the young basketball phenomenon Perrion Callandret. Previously played for BC Nokia in Finland, Callandret is currently an unrestricted free agent.

Who Is Camryn Lavine?

Camryn is a lifestyle blog content creator and social media sensation. She has gained thousands of followers on her socials.

While still studying high school, Camryn became incredibly well-known for her lifestyle blogging and began to experience a thrust in her popularity. Her Instagram account has 56.4K followers with 11 posts.

She has shared numerous pictures of herself on Instagram wearing gym clothes and swimwear and can be seen sporting blonde hair. On the other hand, Camryn is also popular on TikTok. She has amassed 26.7K followers through her videos which have gotten over 382K likes.

Born on 17th March 2001 in the outskirts of Renton, Washington, Camryn, nicknamed Cammy, is 21 years old. Zach uploaded a birthday post on her 21st birthday in March 2021.

Moreover, Cammy is a high school athletic runner who won a gold medal for Golden West College last year. She caught the media's attention after she flirted with Boston Celtics power forward Jayson Tatum via TikTok.

According to Marca, the NBA star's sister shared a video on Tiktok where she had little to no reaction when the text on the clip reads "Any other guy." However, as soon as it switches to Tatum, she becomes more upbeat and smiles.

Zach And His Girlfriend Hunter Have A Son

Zach LaVine and his girlfriend Hunter LaVine welcomed a baby boy in August 2022. Their first kid is named Saint Thomas Lavine.

The 27-year-old basketball star posted a picture of Saint wrapped in warm clothes a couple of days after his birth. "Best feeling I’ve had is now being a Father," he captioned the post.

The couple first went public about their pregnancy in July 2022, sharing pictures from pregnancy photoshoots. Zach had both his hands on Hunter's belly bump as they cheered the special moment of revelation.

She uploaded images of her enlarged belly a few more times before finally giving birth to their first child, Saint Thomas, on August 21, 2022. Since the arrival of their little one, every picture Hunter shared post-delivery has the baby in it.

She took Saint to his first-ever NBA game to surprise his dad. In a game against Utah Jazz, LaVine's partner and son watch him play from the stand.

Zach And Hunter Were Engaged In 2020

Zach Lavine and his future wife Hunter were engaged in April 2020. They have been together for ten years now.

In a photo posted on his Instagram on April 14, 2020, the former UCLA Bruins player could be seen getting down on one knee and proposing to Hunter while holding a ring in his hand.

The two lovers have not yet been married, though. The wedding has not been scheduled despite being engaged for nearly three years.

They have been dating for over a decade since when Zach was in his teenage at 17. He and his fiance both attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where they first met.

The sweet duo has since then traveled the world. Every year on vacations, Zach and Hunter pack their bags and go on adventure trips to different parts of the globe.

In August 2018, they were pictured on Nassau beach in the Bahamas. Then the following month, in September, Zach and Hunter planned their trip to Greece, where they enjoyed many ancient cities, monuments, and beautiful beaches.

LaVine Athletic Family Background

LaVine was born into an athletic family. Almost every member of his household has been related to sports.

And the 2021 NBA All-Star put a high emphasis on his LaVine clan. In addition to his training sessions with his father, he gains strength from simply spending time with his mother and siblings.

As a child, Zach was always taught to strive for the best and never settle for anything less than what he could achieve. The arduous effort and numerous hours spent in his backyard with them are largely responsible for his achievement. Paul and CJ always helped him and motivated me to pursue his goals.
