PET owners have only just discovered what the natural breed of one dog looks like, and some claim they're better looking than most pups.

Several dog lovers took to social media recently to voice their thoughts on natural Dobermans.

The breed typically has cropped ears and a snubbed tail, per MSN.

However, dog owners Suki & Dante (@sukianddante) shared a video on TikTok that went viral recently and showed their what a Doberman puppy without those changes looks like.

"When your dog is a Doberman and doesn't have cropped ears or a docked tail," the influencers wrote in an on-screen caption.

Racking up nearly 700,000 likes, the clip did a slow camera pan up the body of the Doberman.

The adorable pup could be seen looking at the camera with flopped ears and a full tail rather than having both altered.

"All natural," Suki & Dante wrote with the heart eyes emoji.

Fans quickly took to the comments section to praise the natural Doberman pup.

"That’s the best-looking Doberman I’ve ever seen," one person said.

"The floppy ears are my favourite ears," another added.

A third exclaimed: "A big sweetie!"

Additionally, several called out cropping and docking, saying it should be illegal and that results in mutilated Dobermans.

"Hes precious it should be illegal everywhere to crop these poor souls," a TikToker wrote.

"This is so much cuter Omg!! Why do people mutilate them??" another asked.

"The point is a lot of dogs have floppy ears, but people only crop certain dogs ears for absolutely no reason," a third said.

Despite the backlash over cropping and docking, some pet experts claim that the surgical procedures are for the future benefit of the Doberman pups.

For example, the tail of a Doberman is said to be weak and could frequently damage and cause a pup pain over its lifetime, per PRIMA Dobermans.

"The Doberman tail is particularly [thin] and susceptible to painful breaking or damage just from everyday wear and use," the American Kennel Club registered breeder wrote on its site.

Therefore, according to the breeder, docking prevents serious injury to Dobermans.

Although some officials and organizations argue against these claims.

"Puppies suffer unnecessary pain as a result of tail docking and are deprived of a vital form of canine expression in later life," The British Veterinary Association wrote in a blog post.

"Research published in Vet Record found that approximately 500 dogs would need to be docked in order to prevent a single tail injury."

"We continue to call for a complete ban on tail docking of puppies for non-therapeutic reasons across the UK," the organization added.

The British Veterinary Association said cropping and docking should only be performed by a vet if the prevention of verified medical conditions calls for it.
